Gallagher HR Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada

Reporting to the VP, Corporate Human Resources, with a strong dotted line to the Gallagher Service Center - Las Vegas leader, this role will provide hands on day-to-day support and assist with all Service Center related people initiatives. A strong understanding of practical and applicable organization processes and structures, combined with human resource expertise is critical. Responsible for supporting all HR related initiatives and processes including employee relations, compensation, recruitment, relocation, diversity, and training in alignment with headquarters based HR team.
Specifically, the HR Manager is responsible for:
Be a resource to the employees on policy interpretation andimplementation.
Partner with site managers to proactively manage performance and attendanceissues
Manage day-to-day employee relations; maintain knowledge of legalrequirements and government reporting requirements and regulations affectinghuman resources and proactively ensure business practices are incompliance.
Overseeing the recruiting process partnering with Talent Acquisition.This includes manager training in behavioral based interviewingtechniques, requisition assistance, candidate assessment andonboarding.
Managing compensationpractices and administration including benchmarking/surveying tomarket.
Working with Talent Development, will take an active part in talentmanagement deployment; establish employee lifecycle talent management programs(assessment & selection, on-boarding, development, retention, careerprogression) /
Cultivating strong internal client relationships, working across the servicecenter and corporate staff to partner and influence at all levels.
As part of AJG’s human resources team, collaborate and participate incorporate-wide human resources initiatives.
Offer guidance in a variety of HR areas including employee relations,performance management, workforce planning, career development, internalpromotions, recruiting, and annual salary review administration
Handle employee relations investigations and reporting, and process HRtransactions
Develop and deliver presentations on various HR topics for area management
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizationaldevelopment or related field.
5 or more years relevant experience
Above average verbal and written communicationskills necessary.
Good interpersonal skills required.
