Position Summary:

  • Primarily focused on applying the principles of accounting consistently in order to prepare and analyze financial data and perform cash management and accounting functions.

  • Under general supervision and guidance of senior staff, follows established guidelines to identify and resolves problems.

  • Prepares accounting analysis of low to moderate complexity.

  • Compiles or consolidates accounting data for the production of financial statements or public reports (balance sheet, statement of cash flows, etc.).

  • Reconciles and recommends adjustments to general ledger accounts, bank statements, and/or intercompany accounts.

  • Reconciles and adjusts various general ledger accounts and/or bank statements.

  • May post accruals and prepayments, reconcile intercompany accounts, reconcile P&L and balance sheet accounts, manage & control the fixed asset register, report & control capital expenditures, produce monthly consolidation reporting pack, produce statutory accounts, compute corporate tax (in conjunction with tax function) and/or analyze cost center reporting.

  • Solid background in the use of technology, particularly applications specific to department/area.

  • May also perform administrative duties such as maintaining schedules, providing telephone support, filing, transcription and the production of forms.

  • Assists Accounting team in all phases of accounting activities.

  • Performs standard tasks using established and routine methods, principles, concepts and procedures.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration)

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Ability to perform simple to complex mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.

  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information, and Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look ups).

Desired:

  • 1 year of Accounting experience gained from internship position or previous employment.

  • Ability to interact and communicate, both orally and written, with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Detailed-oriented, highly motivated, team player, whos willing to own responsibilities and take initiative.
