The Full Charge Bookkeeper performs a broad range of accounting functions with lead responsibility for accounting records in a branch office or organization department. This position involves processing accounting for multiple companies. Strong QuickBooks skills will be necessary for this full charge bookkeeper position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assigns transaction codes to documents.
Classifies, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements.
Performs special projects as assigned
Completes more routine and established projects and analyses for a specific accounting or finance area.
Works under supervision of management or more senior staff.
Ensures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period.
Posts, balances, and closes subsidiary ledgers.
May follow up on delinquent accounts receivable customers.
Analyzes and verifies internal consistency, completeness, and arithmetic accuracy of account documents and makes adjustments.
Process accounting for multiple companies
Financial statement preparation
Reconcile bank and brokerage accounts
Prepare and make monthly and quarterly journal entries
Review Source Documentation for Reasonableness
Assist in external audits
Assist in submitting information to tax preparer
Assist in 1099 preparation
Special projects as assigned

High school diploma 2 or more years related experience OR Bachelor's degree
Strong understanding of accounting principles.
Accounting Degree preferred
Quickbooks Experience preferred
Advanced Excel Skills preferred
Experience in Great Plains and/or Intacct preferred
Ability to Multi-Task
Excellent communication skills
