Due to an exciting new opportunity we are seeking applications for multiple experienced Life and Disability Claims Assessors to join a new team that will be located North Sydney .
You will be managing a portfolio of life insurance claims in the retail and group markets, determining eligibility and liability and managing ongoing maintenance of the claims.
Obtain relevant medical and financial evidence as required to assess a claim
Review and make recommendations on life, terminal illness, TPD, income protection and trauma claims
Calculate claim payments, and ensure claims are paid in a timely manner
Authorise payment of third party provider account within agreed timeframes
Continually communicate with clients to effectively manage their claims and enquiries
Manage the ongoing assessment of a portfolio of claims
Prepare management plans for claims and accurately record all actions associated with the claim
What we are looking for:
Minimum18 months experience in life and disability claims assessment (essential)
People with strong customer service focus and ability to show empathy and compassion
Experience interpreting legislation and insurance policies
The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to team objectives
Strong attention to detail
