Gallagher Bassett has been appointed to provide claims management services for general insurance lines on behalf of icare Insurance for NSW .

To service this new contract, we are building a new customer-focused team that will include the provision of claims management services for general liability (including medical malpractice), property & engineering, motor vehicle and miscellaneous claims.

This is an exciting opportunity located in the Sydney CBD , and we are currently seeking applications for Liability Claims Consultants . These are permanent, full-time roles with ASAP start dates.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interpret public liability and professional indemnity policy wordings and applying accurately

  • Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority

  • Achieve monthly productivity level as designated by management

  • Comply with legislation such as Insurance Code of Practice and other relevant legislation / regulations and policy requirements

  • Resolve complaints in accordance with company guidelines

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Identify potential fraud/recovery indicators for claims where applicable
