Gallagher Regional Marketing Director - West Zone in Rolling Meadows, Illinois

The Regional Marketing Director works directly with West Coast and Pacific Northwest GGB Regional Presidents and the GGB VP of Marketing to create and activate marketing strategies and campaigns in support of Corporate Marketing, Practice Groups and Regional areas of specialization. Based on the West Coast, the Regional Marketing Director reports to the GGB VP of Marketing and is responsible for developing and managing the Regional marketing relationship and acts as the primary marketing point of contact for Regional Presidents and select Branch Managers. Focused primarily on driving organic growth, the position includes: creating and executing measurable regional marketing strategies and campaigns, in support of identified marketing and sales goals. The Regional Marketing Director will work closely with Regional leaders, select Branch managers and practice managers to provide strategies and oversight of key marketing activities and programs, including lead generation campaigns, events, advertising, public relations and social media.
The Regional Marketing Director will create strategic plans that provide insight into industry and customer needs, establish –customer and prospect benefits and the messaging that will most effectively generate new sales through prospect, customer, and competitive research, then develop and communicate the resulting deliverables through various media to the multiple internal and external stakeholders across the company for local markets.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will bring enthusiasm and creative ideas for B2B marketing strategies, while supporting Corporate and Regional initiatives. Being a strong, service-oriented relationship builder and strategic thinker will be critical. Strong organizational and project management skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required.
This position will afford the opportunity to collaborate across the divisional Marketing team, practice area leaders, niche leaders, and other subject matter experts.
Establishment and building of marketing relationship with identified Regional Presidents and select Branch Managers within the region
Development of marketing strategies and campaigns in support of Corporate and Regional marketing/sales plans and goals
Activation of Regional and Divisional marketing campaigns
Organizing and managing sales tools
Industry analysis and prospect research (when necessary)
Drafting of creative and project briefs
Integrating key messaging and positioning through all collateral materials
Tracking and measuring effectiveness of marketing efforts in driving sales, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI
Providing marketing plan approvals
Ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency of corporate standards for all product marketing assets
Promoting cross-marketing opportunities - encouraging greater learning, communication and sharing of ideas across the Gallagher marketing community
Other duties as assigned by the sales and marketing leadership team
7 or more years related experience in insurance sales and management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
