We are currently seeking a RevenueAccounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team. The new revenue recognition standard has been adopted and we are now searching for a top-notch manager to maintain and improve our existing process for our $5B global company. This is a high visibility role that will interface with divisional controllers, the corporate controller and corporate finance.

Position Summary:

The Revenue Accounting Manager will primarily be responsible for technical accounting, month end close, analysis, compliance and reporting for the Company’s global revenue recognition process. This includes managing the global month end close for 10 divisions’ revenue recognition processes. Will work closely with corporate finance and external and internal auditors. The position will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally on a dotted line and direct line basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires the individual to have the ability to work effectively with external auditors, divisional business finance leaders and members of the corporate accounting group.

· Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting guidance, including FASB and SEC regulations, and communicate conclusions effectively verbally and in writing

· Monitor and evaluate potential impact on the organization for changes in revenue recognition by continuously monitoring the changing landscape under ASC 606.

· Address any revenue-based technical accounting issues raised by the divisional finance managers and communicate accounting conclusions

· Knowledgeable of external auditor requirements (e.g. PCAOB requirements, internal control documentation requirements)

· Ensure proper internal controls are in place and maintained.

· Learn and become the expert in company systems supporting revenue recognition including JDE and business intelligence tools

· Lead the Revenue function and ensure all processes are highly organized and efficient through monitoring and developing or revising as necessary policies and procedures and work systems.

· Assist with development of new models and reports

· Provide training and mentorship to other team members

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 6 or more years experience required

  • Strong Excel and financial management software skills are essential

Desired:

  • Prefer degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CMA or CFA preferred
