The Institutional Investment & Fiduciary Services practice of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Gallagher Fiduciary Advisors, LLC (Gallagher) has approximately 41 employees with primary offices in Washington, DC; Newark, NJ; and Pittsburgh, PA. Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, the Junior Proposal Writer is responsible for all aspects of a small project or phases of a larger project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of various projects of a moderately complex nature and provides single point of contact for those projects.

  • Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, status reports.

  • Must be familiar with the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

  • Communicates with other Project Managers and/or functional managers regarding status of specific projects.

Additional Considerations:

  • The Proposal Writer is responsible for monitoring RFP opportunities and drafting and assembling responses to RFP’s / RFI’s, sales presentations as well as providing marketing support.

  • Responsible for responses to requests for proposals (RFP's), Request for Information (RFI) quality control, including reviewing and proofing documents, presentation booklets, general letters, and other reports prior to transmittal for accuracy, reliability and conformity to firm standards and format.

  • Works in conjunction with the investment consulting team to maintain the RFP Schedule and other Marketing projects.

  • Researches, monitors and refers RFP/RFI opportunities to management.

  • Prepares letters of intent.

  • Prepares abbreviated outlines/overviews of RFP's and RFI's focusing on important proposal specifications.

  • Creates proposal checklist and schedule timeline, assigns staff tasks, follows proposal format and meet deadlines.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years related experience.
